
CONSULTATION
On your first consultation, you will meet with Dr. Konkin to go through your concerns, medical history. A physical examination will also be performed.
Dr. Konkin does not provide a chaperone so you are welcome to bring family or friend to the consultation (the more ears the better).
Dr. Konkin only speaks English so if you require interpreter services, please bring someone with you.

Please allow ten to fifteen minutes to find parking

Please arrive ten minutes before your appointment

Please bring a list of all your medications and exact doses

Please bring your Care Card and any test results you may have
If you can't make the appointment please give at least 24 hours notice. For surgery/endoscopy, please allow at least a week.
We cannot guarantee that a 'no show' appointment will be rebooked
You may be charged a $50 rebooking fee for a 'no show'.

How long will the appointment take?
Depending on your problem it should take between 5 and 15 minutes
If I need surgery where will it be done?
Surgeries are performed at either Royal Columbian Hospital or Eagle Ridge Hospital depending on your procedure and other health concerns.
All endoscopy procedures are performed at Eagle Ridge Hospital.
Will I need to fill in paperwork?
Yes, if surgery is being booked, you will be required to sign the consent form as well as fill out the Fraser Health Pre-Surgical Questionnaire. This will be provided to you after your consultation with Dr. Konkin.

What about colonoscopy/gastroscopy. Do I have an office visit first?
Direct to consult/endoscopy is standard to respect your time. You are welcome to set up a consultation first but this may delay your time to procedure.
